Adella Purcha

It is with immense sadness that the family of Adella Purcha announce her quiet passing on September 25, 2026 at the age of 92.

Adella was a sharp, creative and beautiful woman who always had a quick word and loving heart despite any challenges she might face. As a mother of five, she was always ready with a snack or a warm embrace. With her Ukrainian roots, she will forever have a spot at her family’s holiday tables with her memory being etched into every recipe that has been passed down. Her love will always be felt in every handmade blanket, every colourful trinket, and every little stuffed animal that she always had a penchant for. As much as she will always be remembered through all the small moments, we will miss her just as profoundly. She was a mother, a grandmother, great grandmother, and of course to many she was a dear friend.

Adella will be forever treasured by her children, Dennis (Kathy), Shirley, Chris, and Stan (Jill); her grandchildren, Shelby, Wyatt (Melissa), Jacqueline (Matt), Nicholas, and Scott; her great grandchildren, Jack, Miller and Shepard; and her brother, Edward (Janet)

She is predeceased by her loving husbands,Stanley and Alfred; her son, Garry; and her siblings, Polly, Helen, Mary, Janet, Nellie, Elsie, Bernice, Frank, Joe and Walter

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
