Our hearts heavy with loss, we announce the passing of beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Ange.
Born September 4th of 1933, Ange lived a full and accomplished life, leaving a great legacy of love. At her time of passing on December 1st 2025 she assuredly returned to the waiting embrace of her husband Ernest, sisters Rosmond, Maxine and Rosemary, and granddaughter Jennifer, by each of whom she was predeceased.
She is survived by a brother Francis (Florence), and her six children, Dona (Sam), Glenda (Gord), Kelly, Ken (Mimi), Kevin and Joe (Jen), as well as 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly and took great pride in; collectively the “greatest gift she ever received”, as she was always so fond of stating. The weight of the loss born by the family is immeasurable at this time, but it is lifted up by the great privilege of carrying forth the legacy of Ange’s love.
Further to this great legacy, and a source of pride only second to her family, are the countless students that Ange taught in her nearly fifty years as an outstanding educator. She taught primary grades both on the prairies of her birthplace in Saskatchewan and here in her adopted long time home of British Columbia. She loved and supported all of her students, and had a profound impact on many of their lives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish located at 8842 119th Steet in Delta on December 18th at 11:00 am, with Celebrant Father Abundo, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Prayers will be offered at Immaculate Conception the preceding evening of December 17th from 7:15pm. to 8:15pm.
