Anna Maria Dall'Antonia (Pavan)

Anna passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones October 21, 2025.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Adrienne Dall’Antonia, three grandchildren, Aliya, Lianna, and Noah Dall’Antonia, along with nephews and nieces, Massimo Dall’Antonia, Loretta Dall’Antonia, Diana Dall’Antonia, and Emilio Mondani and their extended families, both in Canada and Italy.

While we are experiencing immense sadness for our loss, we are grateful for the profound impact Anna had on our family. She was Anna, Mom, Zia, and in her favourite role, Nonna, to our family. When we think of Anna, we think of a life so well lived and a person who was deeply loved by so many. Born during the depression, living through World War 2, emigrating to Canada to build a better life, she embodied the immigrant story of courage, resiliency, adaptability, community, and family.

She and her husband Giuseppe Dall’Antonia shared 62 years of marriage based on love, friendship, and respect that demonstrated a true partnership in life. To know Anna was to know someone who was selfless, always thinking of her family, a person who loved to laugh, dance, garden, and play cards, always to win. For the many who dined at her table, and there were so many, as nothing gave Anna more joy than feeding people, you experienced amazing food, in large amounts and with a warm smile, that gave true meaning to the phrase ‘food is love’! She was smart, empathetic, strong, caring, and kind, and lived life focused on what she held dear, her family and friends. Anna, Mom, Nonna, Zia, you were deeply loved and will be missed by so many.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Michael’s Church, 9387 Holmes Street, Burnaby, BC.
