Auzinda Rodrigues

Auzinda Rodrigues passed away peacefully in Vancouver, British Columbia, on July 10, 2026, at the age of 96. 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Fernando Rodrigues. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Maria Adelia (Shawn), and by her nephew Jorge Lopes, his wife Fernanda, and their family.

Born in Portugal, Auzinda immigrated to Canada in 1956 to begin a new life with Fernando. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. She loved cooking and was always eager to try new recipes and experiences. She enjoyed travelling, and later in life, she and Fernando discovered a love of camping, spending many happy weekends with their chosen family. A woman of deep faith, Auzinda was a devoted Catholic whose kindness, warmth, and quiet strength touched many lives. She also never lost her love of chocolate. 

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Prayers will be offered on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Church, 1423 East 13th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Balen.

Entoumbent will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC.

A reception will be held in the church hall at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Church following the entombment. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Auzinda's memory may be made to BC Diabetes Foundation.
