Digby was a 4th generation Sapperton resident & was born at Royal Colombian Hospital in New Westminster. Digby worked for the city of New Westminster for 40 years before retiring in 1987.
Digby & Jean then spent their time enjoying RV Trips, Bus Trips, Cruises, Square Dancing (Chuckwagon 8’s) & watching the birds in the backyard where he grew his own tomatoes & roses. Digby also through his life enjoyed hockey, reading, hunting, target shooting, fishing (tying his own flies). Digby was a life long member of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin (Sapperton) ODNW; Native Sons of B.C. Post #4, Reserve Navy Training on “HMCS Digby”, Retired Officer of “RCSCC Fraser”; member of DCRA-BCRA.
A Private grave side service was held at Fraser Cemetery, New Westminster on June 12, 2025, Rev. Arvin Amayag, St Mary the Virgin Church Sapperton officiating.
In lieu of flowers Donations in memory of Digby to Church of St. Mary the Virgin Sapperton, 121 E. Columbia Street, New Westminster B.C.
