Ryan Cody White
September 16, 1976 – July 5, 2026
Cody White was larger than life, with a vibrant spirit, a loving heart, and a gift for bringing joy to everyone around him. A talented singer and harmonica player, Cody found his greatest happiness making music with fellow artists and friends. He loved performing in bands, jam sessions or anywhere he felt inspired.
Known for his incredible sense of humor, Cody had a remarkable ability to make people laugh. His quick wit, infectious smile, and playful personality brightened every room he entered. He made friends wherever he went—from festivals and concerts to his workplace at Driving Force, where he brought warmth, laughter, and positivity to his colleagues each day.
Cody and Kirsten shared a deep love for one another, as well as for nature, adventure, art, and life itself. They were true soulmates whose unique spirits complemented each other perfectly, right down to their bold and memorable outfits. Together, they embraced life with creativity, kindness, and joy.
Cody is lovingly remembered by his mother, Loretta White along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his many cherished friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his boundless spirit, his laughter, his music, and the love he shared so freely.
Kirsten Martin
March 2, 1990 - July 5, 2026
Kirsten is resting with her dad Pat, brother Kyle and sister Denise and many ancestors. She is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her mom Georgina, brother Trevor, sister Melissa, nephews Jamison, Kaysen, Linden, Vincent, nieces Rhiannon, Phoenix, Aunts Genevieve, Mary, Josie, Liz Uncles Chris (Dolly), Jack, Tommy (Iona) Steve (Karen) Wilf, and many cousins.
Kirsten way too soon. She grew up in Prince George and moved to Vancouver in 2009 for further education. She received her professional makeup artistry at Blanche Macdonald Canada's #1 makeup school. Her artistic application is phenomenal. She remained in Vancouver and took up various outdoor type jobs. She went on to obtain her Aboriginal Tourism Operations Certificate at the Native Education College and a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management from Capilano University. Her education led to her current role as Senior Program Development Officer, Programs Delivery Branch with Service Canada.
Kirsten was larger than life. She took a lot of care in developing relationships which would be loyal for life. Her strength and charisma shone. Just like Cody, she is one of a kind and they loved doing things together. She enjoyed the times they spent at festivals, camping, culture walks in Vancouver, foodies and most recently world travel. After losing her brother she said she wasn't wasting time to see the world. With her soulmate, they travelled to the Philippines, Japan, and most recently to Vietnam for their friend's wedding.
She was drawn to her culture, being Secwepemc on her mom's side and Dakelh on her dad's side. She was on her path to learning her cultures knowing the importance of identity. She was so proud of making her first drum in the weeks before her passing. She championed the growth of family, friends, and colleagues by celebrating and acknowledging other's accomplishments.
She was steadfast in her beliefs and work ethic. A leader in her own right.
Both Kirsten and Cody stepped in to be present for her brother Kyle's children. They travelled to Edmonton for each of their birthdays and celebrations. She wanted them to know how loved they are and to help them on their path. Rhiannon, Kaysen, and Jamison will dearly miss Aunty Kirsten and Uncle Cody. Their love and light will shine bright forever. Rest in power our beautiful Kirsten and Cody.
