Daniel Patrick Cahill

Born October 23rd, 1956 @ St. Mary’s Hospital New Westminster, B.C., died suddenly June 4th, 2025 @ The Heart Institute, Ottawa, Ontario at the age of 68. He is predeceased by his parents Pat and Bertha Cahill, and in-laws John and Lilian Wilbor. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joni, children Christopher, Michael (Liana), Sarah (Shane) and grandson Wes. His brothers and sisters, Barry, Shannon (Dave), Tom (Sharon), Wayne, Cheryl (AL), Jerry (honorary). 11 nieces and nephews, and 6 great nieces and nephews. Dan attended St. Michael’s Elementary School and St. Thomas More Highschool in Burnaby where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame for being an active alumni (Past Alumni President) supporting many efforts and especially the Basketball program where he was a coach for many years. He joined the Burlington Northern Railroad in May 1974 and retired after 48 years in July 2023. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Peter’s New West and St. Matthews Surrey.

Services will be held Saturday July 12th @ 11:00 am, at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church 16628 Old McLellan Road, Surrey B.C.
