Darren Florie Kucheran

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Darren who left us peacefully on June 22, 2025, at the age of 56.

Darren was born in New Westminster, B.C., on May 21, 1969, to Max and Bev Kucheran. He grew up surrounded by a strong and loving family, alongside his brother Brian (Vicky), and sisters Sherry, & Sandra (Lorne)

Darren is survived by his devoted wife Cathy, with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication. He was a proud & loving Dad to his two sons — Justin and Jeffrey, his daughter Jennifer, and loyal companion — Jaxon — who were the light of his life and will be forever grateful.

Darren had many passions in life — he had a deep love for fishing, a lifelong appreciation for collector cars, a commitment to the sport of Hockey, and a knack for Cooking and Baking.

A second-generation owner of Kucheran Wood Products, Darren worked proudly alongside his brother Brian, continuing the legacy their family built.

Known for his incredibly strong work ethic, generous heart, and quick wit, Darren touched the lives of so many. Whether it was time spent with family, stories shared with friends, or the quiet strength he offered in tough times, Darren’s presence made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

He will be remembered for his kindness & unwavering love for his family, & his deep-rooted values. Though he has gone too soon, Darren’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
