Dianne, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully with enduring grace on December 21, 2025.
Dianne was predeceased by her husband, Bob; her parents, John and Gabrielle Kouyzer; and her brother, Edward.
A loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and Nana, Dianne was known for her quick wit, deep love of family and friends, and her joyful spirit. She loved singing, dancing, bowling, and especially card games of all kinds. She had a particular fondness for euchre – an East Coast card game – which she proudly taught her husband, his brother, and sister-in-law. Many cherished Saturday evenings were spent around the euchre table.
Later in life, Dianne discovered a love for bridge and treasured spending time with friends at those weekly bridge games. She also loved playing Kings in the Corner, a favorite that allowed her to spend quality time connecting with her grandchildren.
Dianne was an active and devoted member of her community and her Catholic faith. She was a parishioner of St. Stephen’s Parish in Lynn Valley for 56 years and a proud member of the Catholic Women’s League. In retirement, Dianne was the consummate giver – generously offering her time, energy, and love to family, friends, and the Church.
She played an especially important role in the lives of her four grandchildren, with whom she shared unique and meaningful relationships. Each connection was special and deeply cherished.
Dianne is survived by her children, Rob and Alyson; Rob’s spouse, Lee Boyd; and her grandchildren, Mennlee, Bobby, Jimmy, and Mckenna.
Funeral Mass for Dianne will be held at St. Stephen’s Parish, 1360 – 24th Street E, North Vancouver, BC, on January 24, 2026, at 12:00 pm. For those unable to travel and be there in person, a livestream will be available via Legacy Streaming at:https://www.legacystreaming.com/kearney

Throughout her health challenges over the past two-plus years, Dianne showed unbelievable strength and resilience. Her favorite sayings during difficult days were reminders to “offer it up” and “what’s not for you will pass you”.
Dianne will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is now resting and at peace.
