Dominika (Danuta, Diane) Duda

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Diane Duda, age 90, surrounded by her loving family.

Diane was predeceased by her husband, William; her mother, Ludwika; and her daughter, Anna. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory - her son, Edward; daughter-in-law, Darlene; and grandchildren Lauren (Daniel), Matthew (Courtney), and Christopher.

Family was the centre of Diane's life, and she was happiest surrounded by those she loved. Known affectionately as Babcia, she had a heart big enough for everyone - her kindness, warmth, and quiet strength touched countless lives, and she made all who knew her feel at home.

Babcia loved travelling with her family, tending her flowers, and cooking traditional meals - especially her homemade perogies and cabbage rolls - filling her kitchen with warmth, laughter, and conversation.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at St. Michael's Centre for their exceptional care, kindness, and support.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Francis de Sales Church, 6610 Balmoral Street, Burnaby, BC. Interment, Ocean View Burial Park.
