Donald "Don" Smith

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Don Smith on October 11, 2025.

Don leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Sandra; son Terry (Bobbi); daughter-in-law Sandra Brazeau (wife of late son Todd, 1975–2015); sister Doreen Sellers; and extended family. 

Born and raised in Vancouver, Don attended Britannia High School, where he made lifelong friends. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler and still holds the record for the four-game high total at the Senior Pacific Coast Tournament in 1970. After retirement, he stayed active travelling and enjoying golf, darts, crib, and many other activities at Promontory Lake Estates in Chilliwack, BC.Don will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and devotion to family.

In true Don style, an informal celebration of life will be held from 1:30–3:30 pm on November 22, 2025, at the Promontory Lake Estates Clubhouse, 6001 Promontory Rd., Chilliwack, BC.For those wishing to honor Don's memory, memorial pages have been created with both the Heart & Stroke Foundation and Diabetes Canada.
