God granted Doris her angel wings on April 1, 2026. She was 98 years old
It is with celebration and sadness that we celebrate the life of Dorothy (Doris) Rohla. Born as twins in Port Coquitlam, BC on January 30, 1928, to Annie and John Mulvihill. Doris was predeceased by her husband and partner, George Rohla, in 1991, and her identical twin and constant companion, Delia in 2013.
Her biggest joy was her family. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, Nana, and GG. She was a bright light in her extended family, community, church, friends and anyone who came into her sphere of influence. With her positive, honest, caring demeanour she always made everyone feel welcome, safe, and special. She was a woman of strong faith, a true role model, and a dedicated member of Immaculate Conception Parish Church, school, and Catholic Women’s League. She also worked as a volunteer in local schools, church and community.
She is now rejoined in heaven with ‘womb-mate’ Delia, devoted husband, George, and all her family and friends who joyously welcomed her into their presence.
Survived by her five loving children and their partners; Pat (Heidi), Jim (Dores), Marie, Marji (Bob), Ken (Simone). Grandchildren Lindsay (Josh), Craig (Amanda), Mitchell (Keely), Alysha (Trevor), Christine, Nathan, James (Melissa), Thomas (Victoria), Natasha, Nick. Six great grandchildren Aeden, Lily, Jax, Elle, Quinn, Bowen.
She will be missed greatly by a multitude of adoring nieces, nephews of her extended Rohla, Schweers, and Mulvihill families. Her natural, magnetic wit and gentleness gathered countless dear friends whom she constantly held so dearly in her thoughts and prayers.
Doris was a light in our lives. A light of goodness, love, faith, and what is right with the world. For now, we sow sorrows of letting go. For now, we miss you, cry, and celebrate your life. We know Doris is reunited with her family and everything will be alright. On the other side, the sun always shines. No time, no tears, no pain, and no sad goodbyes. In the quiet of our heart, we are grateful for her light and look forward to the next time we meet. On the other side.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish, located at 8842 119th Street, Delta, BC. on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 10:30am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Rick Hansen Foundation.
