William Douglas Kowal

It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Doug Kowal. William Douglas Kowal (Doug) was born September 25, 1957, in Vernon, BC. He was the oldest of five children to William Kowal and Hilda Palmer. He was raised in Vernon, BC and attended W.L. Seaton Secondary School.

When Doug was 19 years old he started working as a Boatswain and Telecommunication Operator with Canadian Forces. He has been working as a security guard with the Vancouver International Airport for many years up to his passing. He enjoyed fishing with his Dad, spending time on his computer and listening to country music.

Doug leaves behind his Mother, Hilda, sister Debbie, brother’s Dennis, David and Darryl. His nieces and nephews, Jamie, Shawn, Verenya and Christian. He was predeceased by his Father William (Bill) Kowal.

He will be greatly missed.
