Douglas Christopher Nicks

Nicks, Douglas Christopher passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025 at his home in Coquitlam in the company of his loving friend, Jacquelyn Stevenson, at the age of 85. Predeceased by his loving partner, Dianne Harvey on July 3, 2025. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Marla Nicks (Robert), stepsons Russ Gardner (Wendy) and Greg Harvey (Diane), stepdaughters Shelley Polowy (Randy) and Terry Begemann (Marcel), his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Doug worked many years as a boilermaker and was a very proud member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and Helpers, Lodge 359.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his sincere desire to help others, his mischievousness and his love of motorcycles. Doug enjoyed his time camping with friends and was always happiest with a fishing rod in his hand.

We welcome family and friends to join us on Saturday October 4, 2025, at the John B Pub, 1000 Austin Avenue in Coquitlam from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. to celebrate the lives of both Doug and Dianne.
