Elizabeth Alimorong Bueno, 88 years old from Surrey, BC passed away peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital in the presence of her family on January 24, 2026. A loving mother, devoted grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will always be remembered for her radiant smile, deep compassion and unwavering dedication to helping others.
Born on July 20, 1937 in San Nicolas, Pangasinan, Philippines. Elizabeth was the eldest of 10 siblings, and quickly took on the role of peacemaker and caregiver.
Elizabeth was widowed at the age of 50. She has 5 children, 4 sons-in-law and 1 daughter-in-law. She also has 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She immigrated to Canada in February, 2000 with the sponsorship of her daughter Caroline and son-in-law Mario. In Canada she helped take care of her grandchildren.
She enjoyed travelling to places together with her children and grandchildren.
A Visitation Service will be held at Kearney’s Columbia- Bowell Chapel, 219 6th Street, New Westminster, BC on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 6:00pm with a reception to follow.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 16079 88th Avenue, Surrey, BC on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 10:00am, followed by interment (burial) at the Garden of Gethsemani Cemetery, 15694 32nd Avenue, Surrey, BC.
