Francesco Michielli

Francesco passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital in Vancouver, B.C., at the age of 86.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Concetta, his children Angela (John), Vito (Shireen), Maria (Jerry), Gloria (Jeff), his 7 grandchildren, Jader, Lucrezia, Leandros, Evander, Benjamin, Adrian, and Kaden, as well as his 3 sisters and 1 brother, Constanza, Lina, Pina, and Michele, and their families.

Born in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy, on December 7, 1939, Francesco immigrated to Canada with his wife, Concetta. Through determination and resilience, he built a life defined by hard work and dedication, eventually running his own construction business. He took great pride in providing for his family and ensuring they had opportunities he had worked so hard to create. Outside of work, Francesco found joy in spending time with family, the outdoors, and travel. He loved fishing, camping, and spending time in his garden, finding peace and fulfillment in nature.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated, May 1st, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 555 Slocan St., Vancouver, B.C., with reception to follow. Fr. Sylvestre officiating.

Francesco will be remembered for his strength, his work ethic, and his deep commitment to his family
