Gary Burner passed away in Richmond at the age of 92.
Gary lived a life of adventure, serving as a soldier and gifted storyteller who could always keep life interesting. He was a larger-than-life character whose stories, humour, and spirit brought colour to those around him.
He is survived by his former wife; his four children; and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as his nieces, nephews, and their families.
Gary's family is grateful for the precious time spent with him in his final days and takes comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain. They imagine him reunited with loved ones who passed before him, especially his sister Shirley and brother-in-law Bill, playing cards, sharing candy, and laughter once again.
Though there is a little less colour in the world today, Gary's stories, strength, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Beechwood Foundation - https://beechwoodottawa.ca/donation/.
Forever remembered. Forever missed.
