It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hilda Helen Bogusinski on July 28, 2026, at the age of 91.

Born in Romania on January 1, 1935, Helen was the beloved wife of William (Bill) Bogusinski for 73 wonderful years. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, and devotion.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Christine, Stanley, Will, and Steve, daughter-in-law Sue Vandervelde, her grandchildren Stephanie Ferguson, Kyle Bogusinski, and Ryan Bogusinski, and her great-grandchildren Avital Bogusinski, Evelin Bogusinski, and Ben Teetzel, son of Stephanie Ferguson and Jamie Teetzel.

Helen dedicated many years of service to Royal Columbian Hospital, where she was known for her compassion and dedication. She loved animals—especially dogs—along with reading, classic movies, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Helen was an exceptionally giving person who always put the needs of others before her own. She never complained, faced life's challenges with quiet strength and grace, and touched everyone she met with her kindness, generosity, and beautiful spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Dania Care Home for the compassionate care and kindness they provided during Helen's final years.

A celebration of Helen's life was held at 2041 Bellwood Avenue, Burnaby,Saturday, August 8, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal charity in her memory.
