Jacob Van Woudenberg

Jacob (Jack) Van Woudenberg, of Chilliwack, BC, passed away at the age of 94 at his home in Elim Village, Sardis, early January 1, 2026.

He was born on July 28, 1931, in Vleuten, The Netherlands, to Gerardus and Celia Van Woudenberg.He emigrated to Canada on April 28, 1954, with his parents and all six siblings.He worked hard at learning a new language and doing whatever jobs were to be had until eventually buying a truck and hauling cattle.

He married Eltje Aikema on August 23, 1957, in New Westminster, BC. They were blessed with four children: Wilma, Cecile, Mary, and Gerald.Throughout his married life, he was a commissioned cattle buyer. For some years, Jack was also into dairy and raising pigs.

Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife Ella, two brothers Gerry and Bill, and a great-granddaughter Lilly. He is survived by his older sister, Annie, as well as three younger brothers Pieter, Edward, and George.

Services will be held at Chilliwack Canadian Reformed Church on January 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
