Jean Anne Farrer (McCarron)

August 23, 1926 — February 7, 2026

BURNABY

Jean Anne Farrer (McCarron) was born along with her twin sister Joan in Anacortes Washington on August 23, 1926, while her father was working temporarily in the US.

She grew up as part of a large family in Vancouver along with two brothers and three sisters.

She lived all of her life in British Columbia and since 1964 as a part of St. Francis de Sales Parish in Burnaby.

Mom was a member of the Catholic Women’s League for more than 60 years and up until recent times was a very active member.

In addition to raising her family mom also enjoyed golfing, water color paints, gardening, arts and crafts, travelling and picnics.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Len and her son Stephen (Theresa). She is survived by her daughter Leslie and son Mike (Tammy) as well as five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Gratitude and much appreciation go out to the Burnaby Better at Home Care Program as well as the wonderful staff at the New Vista Care Home. So much was done to make Jean feel supported and comfortable during her time of need.

Jean passed into the care of our Lord on February 7, 2026.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis De Sales, 6610 Balmoral Street, Burnaby, BC on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Ocean View Burial Park at 2:00 pm.

Donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the CWL at St. Francis De Sales.
