Jean W. Watt (née Dalrymple) died with dignity on her own terms on January 18, 2023, age 94, at UBC Hospital.

Jean, the last of 'The Dalrymples' was predeceased by her parents John and Annie Dalrymple, her sisters Helen McCrea, Annie Ironside, Suzanne Campbell, her husband KennethG. Watt, and her daughter Susan.

Jean is survived by her daughter Jo-Anne Watt, granddaughter Maria Watt, nephews Jim Ironside, John, Rob, and Chris Campbell.

Jean was born in Collingwood, Ontario. Her family moved to Vancouver in 1939. Jean graduated from UBC in 1949 with a degree in Home Economics. In the 1960's Jean ran the Shawnigan Lake Country Club along with her husband Ken. Long time members of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club Jean co-captained the Pandora Rhu.

Jean was a wonderful cook and hostess. Food was the glue that bonded family and friends together over many a busy tea, dinner, and bridge table. Jean's dry wit was renowned as was her strong will and good heart.

She is greatly missed by her family and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
