Jon Edward Henderson

It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my husband Jon Henderson after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

Jon was born and raised in New Westminster and never wanted to live anywhere else. He was a great walker and loved to walk from one end of New West to the other, before his lung disease ended that. 

Jon’s working life was spent in the paper industry, starting with Hilroy and ending with Kruger Paper in New West. 

We enjoyed our yearly trips to Mexico or Hawaii and were married on the beach on Maui. Jon loved nothing more than the sun on his face, a cold beer in his hand, and a hammock to relax in, with a good book. He was funny, sarcastic, intelligent, and sometimes cantankerous. We were together for 49 years. This picture shows Jon at his happiest and handsomest. 

He will be deeply missed by his wife Cathy, his family, and his many friends.
