Julian Douglas Sean Scott came into this world on September 25, 1990, with a curious look and a big smile. His gramma cut his umbilical cord and a real enigma was born.
Growing up, we found Julian to be very intelligent, even coming third in a provincial wide math contest at a year over his grade. He auditioned for and was accepted into the BC boys choir.
Julian struggled to attend school, even though he was smart. He never really fit in, but he managed to get into college and get high marks in business for the first while. Julian graduated through many recovery programs, and he was a talented cook.
Julian was a kind soul that liked to help other people. When he was little, he made care packages for homeless people and when he got older, he supported the people that struggled with mental illness that surrounded him. When the schizophrenia hit, Julian was quite young, already homeless, and surviving on the streets of the Vancouver downtown Eastside. He had a lot of scary times, but he made it through.
On Saturday, June 21, 2025 he was hit by the Skytrain and after he succumbed to his injuries, he passed peacefully with his family and his friend surrounding him with love on June 22, 2025.
Julian is survived by his mother Kathryn, his father Sean, his stepfather Aaron, his sisters Melissa, Hazel, and Jolie, his stepbrother Dom, his Nana Jenna, Uncle Edjovar, cousins Sebastian and Lua, and his grandfather Sheldon.
n lieu of flowers. The family would appreciate donations to Covenant House in Vancouver, who help homeless youth, and who made a difference in Julian’s life.
We will miss you, Ahgoo, so very much. We feel that if barriers were put at the Skytrain, Julian would still be with us today.
