Katherine Mabel Ann Reade

Katherine “Kathy” Mabel Ann Reade (née Campbell) died peacefully on June 15th, at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, British Columbia at the age of 86.

She was born on August 3rd, 1938 in Stanley, New Brunswick to parents Doreen Edith Helen & Charles Vincent Campbell. She is predeceased by husband Jerome (Jerry) Bruce Herbert Reade, and brother Gerald (Gerry) Campbell.

Kathy is survived by her brothers: Charlie, and Philip; sisters: Gladys, Rosemarie, and Patricia; children: Randy (Maxine), Dianne, and Tim (Rachel); grandchildren: Justin, Jason, Janelle, Kaelan, Lachlan, and Scarlett; great-granddaughter Isla.

In 1959, Kathy graduated from Mount St. Joseph Nursing School in Chatham, New Brunswick and worked as a nurse until the day before her 66th birthday, retiring in 2003.

She married Jerome (Jerry) Reade in November 1959 in Stanley, New Brunswick.

Throughout her life, Kathy enjoyed cooking and baking, constantly testing new recipes for her family to try. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, shopping, knitting, and watching her soap opera every day at 3pm. She was very fond of being a mother and grandmother and thoroughly enjoyed taking care of others. She will be immensely missed by those who loved her.
