Kathleen Annis

We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Kathleen Annis (Kathy to her friends), who died peacefully at the age of 79 at the Vancouver General Hospital Palliative Care unit on October 29, 2025.

Born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England September 30, 1946, Kathy emigrated to Toronto in 1968. She moved to Vancouver in 2012 where she really found her home. Living her best life, the past 13 years have been Kathy’s happiest. Quickly getting involved at the West End Seniors Network, Kathy was an avid participant and a valued volunteer for many years. She will be deeply missed.

Predeceased by her elder sister Pam, Kathy is survived by her devoted sister Nora, niece Barbara (Wayne) and many, many dear friends who brought her so much joy in this final chapter.

A celebration of life will be held in the new year.
