Kiayla Marie Violet Paquette

It is with the heaviest of hearts and deepest sorrow that our family announces the passing of our beloved Kiayla Marie Violet Paquette, 33 on Thursday September 11th, 2025.

Born on October 2nd, 1991 at 4:19 am in Vancouver, B.C. to Deborah Anne Butler and the Late Peter Ambrose Paquette.

Kiayla was a great kid, was involved in her community through Sparks, Brownie's and Girl Guides, Alter served in our Church St. Francis de Sales in Burnaby B.C. and played soccer for both Vancouver and Burnaby Girls Soccer Clubs.

Kiayla overcame many challenges in life, graduating in an Alternate school run by an amazing lady named Susan Downing and secured a scholarship to Hairdressing School and excelled.

Kiayla and her boyfriend Dalton Blundell had a daughter Miya Violet Marie March 19th 2009 4:30 am.

Although she had few of life's earthly possessions she shared generously with everyone, at times even her home housing her friends who were displaced at times.

Kiayla loved her family and friends deeply and passionately, especially her daughter Miya.

Kiayla is survived by her daughter Miya Violet Marie Paquette 16, her sister Coco Chanel Donai Paquette 32, nieces Brooklyn Harlow Ryan 13, Taylor Donai Ryan 9, brother in law Nigel Preston Ryan 40, mother Deborah Anne Butler 66 all of Vancouver B.C. and her many extended family from all across B.C, Alberta, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, Aunts, Uncles, Great Aunts and Great Uncles, cousins. The Blundell family, Miya's paternal grandmother Teena, Miya's father Dalton, Miya's Aunt Nikita, Mama and Papa and a good friend of the family Teuvo Kuitunen 75, who acted as a surrogate father over the years.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

The family wishes for those who choose to make a donation in any form (time, clothing or monetary) in Kiayla's name to places who assist persons struggling with Mental Health, Partner Abuse and or Addiction Services.
