Livio Michielin

1962 — 2025

BURNABY

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Livio Michielin on December 30, 2025, after a courageous battle with ALS. Born March 26, 1962, to Gino and Joanne Michielin, Livio’s life was defined by resilience, humor, and a profound love for his family and friends.

Livio is lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Manuela, his daughter Brianna, son Tyson, mother Joanne, brother Dino (Billie), and a wide circle of family and friends. He is reunited in peace with his father and parents-in-law.

Known for his trademark sarcastic wit and infectious laughter, Livio brought joy to every gathering. Whether coaching youth soccer, walking the fairways, or cheering for his beloved San Francisco 49ers, Livio’s energy and passion were unmistakable. Even as he faced the challenges of ALS, he never lost his sense of humor or his ability to make others smile. During his illness, he became the “king of game shows,” entertaining family and friends from his favorite recliner.

Livio’s legacy is one of laughter, strength, and kindness. He was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father, and a steadfast friend. In his 28 years within the traffic and safety industry, his work was more than a job; it was a passion shared with the clients he served. His generosity, unwavering support, and positive spirit touched all who knew him. He leaves behind a lasting reminder to always keep smiling, no matter what life brings.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC. Entombment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum, Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC.
