Lucia Anna Casoria

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lucia Anna "Lucy" Casoria, who passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on September 8, 1955, in Pickle Crow, Ontario, Lucy lived a life with faith and love for Jesus, defined by kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those around her. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Antonio and Carolina Casoria, whose values of family and compassion she carried with her throughout her life.

Lucy was a devoted mother to her daughter, Carmen, and an adoring grandmother to her cherished grandson, Cristiano, who was truly the apple of her eye. Her greatest joy came from being with her family, whom she loved unconditionally and always placed above everything else.

She will be deeply missed by her loving sisters, Filomena and Chiara; her brother, Sam and his wife, Angie, her stepdaughter Tascia, her aunt Carolina as well as many treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.

Lucy had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her door was always open, her heart even more so. She filled every room with warmth, and love, teaching by example the importance of kindness, peace, forgiveness, and putting family first. Her unwavering support and gentle spirit created countless cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to inspire her family. She will forever be remembered as a source of strength, comfort, and joy.

A viewing will be held on Thursday July 23, 2026 between 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Kearney Funeral Home, 4715 Hastings St, Burnaby. A Funeral and Celebration of Life will be held on July 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Westwood Community Church, 1294 Johnson St. Coquitlam, followed by Entombment at the Abbey Mausoleum at Ocean View Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Lucy's memory.

Lucy will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. Her love lives on in the family she treasured so deeply.
