Marion Margaret Orr

After a rich and full life, Marion passed away on September 19, 2025 with peace in her soul in her 99th year. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford (2004), her brother George and sisters, Patricia & Elizabeth, parents Margaret & Edward.

She leaves behind her children Glen (Laura), grandchildren Amanda(John) & Kyle, her daughter Susan, SIL Bea, nieces & nephews.

Marion was raised in Montreal to an emigrated family from Ireland and Scotland, living most of her life in Montreal fighting for English rights and the rights of the unborn.

She loved to swim, ski, bowl, dance, ride her bike and jump on a ferry to anywhere. Mom loved to travel. She thought it important everyone experience all of Canada.

Along the way Marion had many close friendships in Montreal, Toronto and loved her years in Vancouver where her friendships continued.

Funeral to be held Tuesday October 7, 2025 at 2pm at St. John the Apostle (Trafalgar & 39th) in Vancouver. Family would like to invite friends to join us at Sunrise Killarney for a reception following memorial service. Celebration of Marion’s life for friends and family in the east to take place in Niagara on the Lake at a later date.
