Valma Marjorie Reeves

Valma M. Reeves, born on January 11, 1945, passed away on August 4, 2025, in Burnaby, BC.

Valma was a sister, mother, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She lived a joyful life starting in Summerside, PEI. She spent time in New Brunswick and Ontario, before moving to BC to raise her children. Valma was a longtime member of St. Alban’s Anglican Church and had great pride in her role there. Those who knew Valma will remember her as having a deep-rooted faith in God, a love for being with her family, and was always quick to share her laughter. Her favourite pastimes included spending time along the river with her friends, playing cards, and booking her next trip back east.

Valma is predeceased by her husband Paul, her parents Edmund and Clarice, her brothers Raymond and Edward, and her sisters, Diane, Irene, and Celina.

Valma is lovingly survived by her brother, Claude, her sister, Norma, her two daughters, Cindy Chisholm and Wendy (Wesley) Mossing, 6 grandchildren, Rob (Kristen) Van Dam, Amy (Greg) Bueschkens, Shawn-Anne (Daniel) Zielke, Matthew (Rachel) Tremblay, Michael Tremblay, and Bradley Tremblay, and 10 great-grandchildren, Bueschkens: Connor, Heather, and Megan. Zielke: Kinley, Kendyl, Joahana, Isaiah, and Eloise, Van Dam: Blake, and Tremblay: Remi.

Valma was very proud of her family and loved them all. Mom (Gramma, Meme), we love you and will miss you. But, we take comfort in knowing you are with Grampy.

The memorial services to honor Valma and celebrate her life will be held at 1 pm, Friday, August 29, 2025, at St. Alban’s Anglican Church in Burnaby, BC. Reception to follow.

Valma was a very colourful person with red being her favorite colour. The family invites you to join them in incorporating red into your attire or to wear your favourite colour to honour Valma.
