It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Martin Rafter on July 30, 2026 in Surrey, B.C., Canada at the age of 97.
Predeceased by his father Thomas and Elizabeth (Farrell) Rafter, his brother Thomas and sister Breda Rafter and his son Thomas Rafter.
He leaves behind his loving wife Bridget Rafter (Beattie), his children Betty (Barry), Kathleen (Rene) and John (Sheila); his grandchildren Martin, Gerrard, Thomas, Ryan (Alisha), Dylan (Aleah), Kelsey, Holly, Shannon and Desmond.
Martin will be fondly remembered for his kind and gentle spirit and his faithful devotion to God and family.
Prayers will be offered Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 6:30pm at St. Joseph’s Church 20676 Fraser Hwy, Langley BC, where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Peter Mopawill on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 11:00 am.
