It is with love and gratitude for a life well lived that we share the passing of Neana Elaine Davidoff, who peacefully left us on August 20, 2026, at the age of 84.
Neana was born in Pincher Creek, Alberta Canada on October 2, 1941. As a young girl, she relocated with her family to the Portland, Oregon area where she spent the majority of her school years.
Neana went on to study at the University of Portland where she majored in Drama and English, Michigan State University where she majored in Theater and then attended the Academy of Dramatic Art. Neana was well known for her love of theater arts including many roles in plays, TV and print advertisements and even a radio show in Vancouver in the early 1970’s.
Neana eventually settled in Port Moody, BC in 1976 where she taught Drama and English at Killarney Secondary and directed over 50 plays for grades 8-12. Neana was known for her sense of adventure and ability to make anyone feel like family, and she was always up for a glass of wine and a chat with her beloved friends.
She was predeceased by her sister Verna (Davidoff) Barke and her parents Mack and Mabel Davidoff. She is lovingly remembered by her nephew Jason Barke and his wife Jennifer Barke, her grandniece and nephews Jessica, Josh and Jakob as well as extended family and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Burnaby Mountain Golf Course Clubhouse restaurant - 7600 Halifax St. Burnaby, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA or the Port Moody Art Center https://www.pomoarts.ca/get-involved/donate-online.
