Ney Antonio Villegas

Ney Antonio Villegas passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the age of 66, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Lucy; his children, Neil and Christian; his siblings, Gus, Lala, Don, Ian, Donna, Ivy, and Nyza, and a large extended family who will deeply miss him.

Despite facing an uncommon diagnosis, Ney met his illness with remarkable strength, courage, and grace. He overcame many obstacles throughout his journey and remained a steady and resilient presence until the very end.

Ney was the foundation of his home. Beyond being a loving husband and father, he was a skilled handyman, a passionate gardener, a dependable driver, a trusted co-worker, a mentor, and a loyal friend. If anyone ever needed help or guidance, Ney was always the one they could count on.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a Viewing and Reception on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Kearney Columbia-Bowell Chapel, located at 219 6th Street in New Westminster, BC. The viewing will be from 2-3pm with the reception hall open from 2-5pm.

Ney’s Funeral Mass will be at 11:00am on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, at Precious Blood Parish, located at 17475 59 Avenue in Surrey, BC. There will be a short 30 minute window prior to the Mass for viewing for those who are unable to go on the 3rd. There will be a brief reception after the Funeral Mass at the Precious Blood Parish Hall behind the church.

Ney’s burial will be at 2:30pm on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, at Bakerview Memorial Cemetery, located at 920 272 Street, Langley, BC.
