It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Noella Ann MacDougall, who passed away peacefully in the arms of her devoted husband on July 30, 2025, in Penticton, British Columbia.
Born in New Westminster on December 29, 1946, to Anna and Roger Alain, Noella spent her final years surrounded by love and laughter in Penticton with her husband of 57 years, Frank, or better known as Rocky MacDougall.
Noella will be lovingly remembered by her husband Frank/Rocky, daughters Amber (Andrei) and Lisa (Ian), and her cherished grandchildren Rylee, Rhaya, Connor (Bree), and Valerie. She was recently overjoyed to become a great-grandmother to baby Elsie Rose. She is also survived by her sister Carmen (Chris), her brothers Phil (Corry) and Marc (Doreen), and her nieces and nephews: Krista, David, Shawn, Jamie, Daniella, Mike, Nicole, and Christopher. She leaves behind countless extended family members and dear friends who made her life full and vibrant.
Noella was a woman of strength, generosity, and spirit — known for her infectious laugh, unwavering honesty, and deep devotion to those she loved.
She built a life rooted in connection and joy. A retired employee of Telus (BC Tel) Noella was a skilled and respected administrative professional — though anyone who worked with her would agree, she often ran the show. She formed lasting friendships in her career, as she did in all areas of her life.
Noella lived with dementia in her final years, facing the challenges of the illness with resilience and grace, supported always by the love of her family.
Above all, Noella loved her friends and family fiercely and without condition. Her presence was a gift that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 20th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Kearney Columbia-Bowell Chapel 219 6th Street, New Westminster. An interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. A reception will follow and be announced at the service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider raising a glass of wine, sharing a meal with someone you love, or doing something kind in her memory — just as Noella would have done.
