TURNER, Norman Francis BYRNE died peacefully on October 27, 2025, in South Surrey, BC at the age of 91. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Georgene, and children Erin, Caroline (Don), Shawn (Cressida), Vicki (Alan), Theresa, Patti, 7 grandchildren, other family members, and friends.
Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on July 27, 1934, Byrne was a loving, kind, and generous man who believed deeply in the importance of family. As a Vancouver Police Officer (1956 to 1988) he cared for the community he served and was often the first to respond when a fellow officer needed assistance. Known for his stories, quick smile, and sense of humour he made friends wherever he went, on trips and cruises, in the associations he was a member of, and in the shops and restaurants he frequented. He touched many lives and will live on in our memories.
