Palma Di Tomaso

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Nonna and Bisnonna, Palma Di Tomaso.

Born in Civitanova del Sannio, Italy, Palma came to Canada in December 1952, bringing along her 13-month-old son to once again reunite with her husband. Her biggest passions were to look after her growing family, cooking from scratch, and tending her garden.

Palma leaves her loving family, her children, Domenic (Redenta), Joe, Rina (Douglas), and Fernanda (Walter), her nine loving grandchildren and ten beautiful great-grandchildren, and extended loving family and friends. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.

The family would like to express they’re thanks to the VCH home care staff, the wonderful staff at Burnaby Hospital, and in particular, thanks to Fe for her kind and compassionate care of Mom as her companion and helper at home.

A viewing will take place Sunday, Aug 24th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Kearney Burnaby Chapel 4715 Hastings St. Burnaby.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Aug 25th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish 555 Slocan St. Vancouver. Entombment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum, Burnaby.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in Palma's memory to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
