Peter John Watts

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Peter John Watts on October 31, 2025, after complications from a hip infection following a long and courageous battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Peter was a man of immense knowledge,warmth, humor, and generosity. His larger-than-life personality lit up every room he entered, and his love for clean shoes, an ironed shirt and a good watch, was matched only by the love he gave to his family and friends.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Diane, with whom he shared 49 wonderful years of marriage. He will be deeply missed by his son Joe and daughter-in-law Pam, his daughter Kate and son-in-law Rob, and his cherished grandchildren: Ewan, Akili, Ada, Matteo, and Isabella.

Peter’s kindness and wit touched the lives of many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass will be held in his honor on November 12th at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Parish in Langley. All who knew and loved Peter are welcome to attend and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in honor of Peter to the UBC Faculty of Medicine, Orthopaedics Department.
