Rev. Terrance Joseph McNamara, O.M.I.

Fr. Terrance Joseph McNamara O.M.I., passed away on April 28, 2025, at Yaletown House in Vancouver, BC. 

Fr. McNamara was born August 3, 1937, in Timmins, ON. He was Ordained to the Priesthood in the Congregation of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate September 15, 1979, in Duncan, BC. He is predeceased by his parents John and Mary (nee Doherty) McNamara, two brothers, Reggie (Irene) McNamara of Timmins, ON, and Darcy (Arden) McNamara of New Liskeard, ON. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Fr. McNamara’s ministries include Pastor of Parishes in British Columbia, including Vancouver, BC; Missionary; Life Skills Trainer and various administrative positions. 

Services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at St. Augustine’s Church, 2028 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC as follows: Viewing at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. Interment at the Oblate Cemetery, 7494 Mary Street, Mission, BC. Funeral Mass will be livestreamed at https://www.youtube.com/live/zohM_WCJWcM.
