Roberta Sia Uy

Roberta Sia Uy passed away peacefully on February 18th, 2025 at the age of 85, at Burnaby General Hospital, BC. Roberta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Go Ka Bio and her eldest son, Wilson. Roberta is survived by her children, Hiyasmin (beloved wife of Wilson), Willie, Aida, William (Rosa), Justina, Wilton (Chona), Josephine, and Wilbert (Diane), thirteen grandchildren, Sherwin, Shane, Wilson Jr., Katherine, Kimberly, KJ, Wency, Wendy, Wayne, Wyn, Ian, Alden, and Francis, and five great-grandchildren.

Roberta loved spending time at the New Vista Society’s Adult Day Program, playing bingo, doing word searches, and trivia. She was a long-time parishioner at St. Michael’s Parish. The family is very grateful to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Burnaby General Hospital for their care and compassion during Roberta’s last days. 

Her funeral mass will be held on February 28th at 11:30 am at St. Michael’s Parish.
