Roberto Visintin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roberto Visintin.

Roberto was born on Valentine’s Day, 1969. He grew up in East Vancouver, where he attended St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School and Templeton Secondary.

Roberto was a loving, passionate, and hard-working man. He made many memories during his years at I.C.S.F. and at Costco and will be remembered fondly by all those who worked with him.

He is a role model to many who knew him on how to persevere through adversity without complaint and always with a positive attitude.  Rob was predeceased by his mother Annamaria Visintin, and brother-in-law Alan Takai. His spirit lives on in his two sons, Matteo and Luca, with Carol, and with his father, Mario, and siblings, Nevia, Rosanna (John), and Luciano (Annamaria), as well as his nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude towards the staff at St. Paul’s Hospital, who cared for Roberto for many years and whose hard work gave his family the opportunity to share many more memories with Roberto that would not have been possible without their dedication towards his recovery.

Prayers will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., Funeral Mass to follow and will be celebrated on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
