Ronald Brasier

Ronald Brasier passed away peacefully at Creekstone Care Home in North Vancouver on September 18, 2026, following a long journey with dementia

Ron will be missed by his wife, Jocelyne (Joy); his three stepchildren, Wade (Susan), Terri and Anthony (Stephanie) Howie; and his seven grandchildren, including Rose, Isaac, Matthew, Dominic, James, Abigail, and Elizabeth. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary, and his brother, Peter.

Born in London, England, Ron completed his national service in the RAF before moving to Blackpool, where he worked in a variety of manufacturing roles. In 1968, he made Canada his home. He lived and worked in Oshawa, Ontario, until 1987, when he moved to the West Coast.

Ron built a rewarding career as an engineer, contributing to the manufacturing and production of many products, particularly in the glass industry.

He was instrumental in founding the North Vancouver Radio Control Flying Club. Ron was also an enthusiastic antique-car collector and a long-standing member of the Pre-56 MG Car Club, enjoying many vehicles over the years. He found great pleasure in building and flying radio-controlled aircraft, as well as driving and caring for his beloved motor cars.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Creekstone Care Home for the kindness, care, and attention Ron received.

A funeral service will be held at St. Francis–in-the-Wood, located at 4773 South Piccadilly Road, West Vancouver on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
