McKenna, Rosaleen passed away after a 3 year fight with cancer.
She is predeceased by her parents Margaret and Owen, and her niece Renee. Rosaleen will be deeply missed by her sons Martin and Brian, grandchildren Alice and Owen, nephews Shaun, Patrick and Tim, and nieces Nicole and Osha.
Rosaleen is also survived by her sisters Susan, Mary-Ann and Kathleen.
Rosaleen will also be missed by the Loss Prevention Team at London Drugs and the neighbours at Cultus Lake.
Rosaleen was a pioneer who made bold moves and decided in the 1970's to pursue a policing career in one of the first places to take Women police officers - Hong Kong. From there she relocated to England, and then returned to Canada to use her skills in the private sector. In retirement, Rosaleen did many things to give back to the community, and chose to spend significant time and effort helping abused women.
Rosaleen will have Catholic prayers in her name on 20 May at 7:15 pm, and her friends , family and acquaintances are invited to her funeral on 21 May at 10:30 am; both of which will occur at Immaculate Conception Parish in Delta BC at 8842 119th street.
Private interment will occur at a later date.
