Sally Jones

June 6, 1956 — November 13, 2025

Sally lived a vibrant life filled with love, creativity, travel, music, laughter and kindness.

Born in England, she went on a great adventure with her husband, Ralph, to Canada, where they chose to stay and make their home. Wherever Sally and Ralph went, they were well known for making lifelong friends and improving the world around them.

She brought her background as a childhood educator along with her, teaching countless children to sing and make music in celebration of God’s love. Sally was an active member at Christ Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, piano player and frequent volunteer. Thank you to the family of St Thomas Anglican & Vicar Lorie Martin, who have also welcomed & supported us.

Sally was endlessly creative, sewing, knitting, and crafting, and just leaving the world a bit more beautiful everywhere she went. If it was creative and brought joy, Sally would try it. She was also quite the fashionista, with a colourful wardrobe that reflected her glowing personality.

Sally took her passion for creativity and fashion to the Chilliwack Players Guild, where she costumed numerous productions over the years. She also frequently entered her pieces in the Chilliwack Fair. At the last fair alone, she scooped up five first-place prizes and a best in show.

Sally was predeceased by her father, Frank. She is survived in the UK by her mother Margery (97) and her brothers, Martin and Adam. She was wife to Ralph, mother to Rhiannon and Faye, and Nana to Vaughn, Gael and Elin.

The family would like to thank her medical team: Dr Deluce, Dr Rathod & the many kind staff at the Abbotsford Cancer Centre, Dr. Sean Larson, the team at Chilliwack Hospital, and Cascade Hospice, where she spent her final days in peace. Special thanks to our friend and colleague, Dr. David Fitzpatrick, who volunteered to take on her care during her last two hospital admissions.

Shortly before death, Sally said Jesus was calling her to be a sunbeam; look for her there. She lives on in the hearts of the many she inspired with her life of selflessness and kindness. We will miss her forever, but find comfort knowing she is safe in the arms of her loving Lord.

Yma o Hyd, "still here", in our hearts.

Instead of flowers, please donate to your local food bank and continue Sally’s spirit of loving generosity.
