Sandra Joan Beulens

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Beulens, who left this world on May 27, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on March 22, 1948, and lived a life defined by love, faith, and quiet strength.

She married her beloved husband, Peter, in 1969, and shared many years of love and companionship until his passing in 2015. Their bond was one of enduring devotion and care.

She was mother to her three children — Michelle (Diane), Geoff (Diane), and David (Tecia) — and a proud grandmother to Tianna (Logan), Dominik (Amy), Easton (Tiana), Emily, Donovan, Tyson, Jacob (Miranda), Micah, Kayla, and Chloe. Her family brought her joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Those who knew her often joked that she had nine lives, and she proved it time and again. She faced more than her share of close calls and health scares over the years, each time surprising everyone — doctors included — with her resilience and determination. She had a remarkable way of bouncing back, leaving her family both relieved and shaking their heads in awe. Her unexpected passing feels all the more profound because she had so often defied the odds.

A longtime and dedicated member of the Catholic Women’s League at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, she lived her faith through service, compassion, and community. Her gentle presence and willingness to lend a hand touched many lives.

She had a curious spirit and a love for exploring new places. Whether travelling near or far, she embraced each journey with enthusiasm. In quieter moments, she found joy in watercolour painting, creating soft, thoughtful pieces that reflected her appreciation for beauty in the everyday. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandra’s memory may be directed to Chalice Canada or your local Catholic Women’s League (CWL).

A Vigil will be held at 10:00 a.m. on 11 June 2026, for those who wish to attend. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., with a reception afterward in the Church Hall. Services will take place at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave., Abbotsford, BC. Condolences can be sent to beulens2026@gmail.com
