Sandra Jean Morrison (née Morrow), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, peacefully passed away on March 28, 2026, at Langley Memorial Hospital at the age of 80. She was surrounded by love as her devoted husband of 60 years, David (DL), prayed the rosary while Sandra gently passed into the loving arms of our Lord.
Born on November 27, 1945, in Calgary, Alberta, Sandra was the cherished daughter of Leona and William Morrow. She grew up in a lively home alongside her four sisters—Glenda, Luella, Nita, and Debbie and her brother, William (Billy). Her early years were filled with laughter, strong family bonds, and memories that stayed with her throughout her life.
Sandra married her loving husband, DL, in Calgary 15 May 1965. Together, they built a life grounded in love, faith, and family. They lived in Edmonton and Calgary before moving to British Columbia in 1978, where they established their family home in Delta. That home became a gathering place for all with open doors, full tables, and celebrations that marked literally hundreds of birthdays, weddings, and special moments. Sandra had a gift for making every occasion feel meaningful and unforgettable, and was the glue that held our strong family bond together.
She was known for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family. As a proud Nana, she deeply cherished her grandchildren and adored her great-grandchildren, treasuring every moment spent with them. Sandra was kind, loving, accepting, and faithful in all aspects of her life, and her quiet strength and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
Sandra was predeceased by her parents, Leona and William Morrow; her sisters, Glenda and Nita; her brother, Bill; and her daughter, Deborah Lynn.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, David (DL); her children, Michael (Debbie), Stephen (Carrie), Katherine (Ben), and David (Shannon); her grandchildren, Kurtis (Caitlin), Ryan (Chelsea), Maria, Christopher, Liam, Cole, Travis, Anthony, Karsen (Michel), Lawson, Juno, Kaitlyn, and Brianna; and her great-grandchildren, Ember, Everett, Isabelle, and Jaxon. She is also survived by her sisters, Luella and Deborah; her brother-in-law, Jim; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and all who held a very special place in her heart.
A funeral Mass followed by a memorial reception will be held at St. Nicholas Parish, 88th Ave, Langley, on April 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Prayers and viewing will take place on April 21, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the parish. Sandra will be laid to rest following the reception at Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in Surrey, BC. All who wish to celebrate Sandra’s life are warmly welcomed.
Though her body has passed, Sandra’s life and spirit live on in each of us. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity close to your heart.
