Santa Italia Dalla Valle (nee Paris)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Italia announces her peaceful passing on February 10, 2026, at the age of 83, surrounded by the love of her family.

Italia will be deeply missed by her devoted and loving husband of 63 years, Pietro; her daughters, Marisa (Dave) and Nina (Attilio); and her son, Severo. She was a proud and cherished Nonna to Catrina (Melvyn), Draydon (Hayley), and Anthony (Danica), and a beloved great-grandmother to Owen. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Maria and Quintina, as well as many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 25, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver, BC. A private entombment will follow.

The family extends sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit at Burnaby General Hospital for their exceptional care, compassion, and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Italia’s memory to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
