Secondo Andreola

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and Nonno ,Secondo Andreola. Secondo was born on December 11, 1935 in Bessica di Loria, Treviso, Italy ,and passed away May 20, 2026 in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Secondo is survived by his wife, Evelina; his children, Paul (Patricia), Sandra (Rick), Tina(Dave); his grandchildren, Sara (Callum), Alexander, Nathan, Marisa (Charlie), Nicole, Ashley ,Matteo, and Michael; and one brother in Italy, Giovanni. He is predeceased by his five sisters ,and his twin brother Primo.

Secondo emigrated to Canada in 1956, beginning his career as a longshoreman in 1962, a job he enjoyed greatly until his retirement in 2000.In 1963, he sent for his fiancée to join him in Canada and they married soon after she arrived.

Secondo was a hard worker, who was always ready to lend a hand to those who needed it. He served many years as a dedicated member of the Trevisani Nel Mondo Comitato and volunteered at the Italian Cultural Centre. He was honored with the Immigrant of the Year award in 2011. In his free time, he enjoyed playing cards with friends and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He travelled with Evelina, all over the globe, but the warm beaches of Mexico were a favourite destination.

Prayers will be held for Secondo at Kearney Chapel, 4715 Hastings St, Burnaby, BC on Monday June 1 at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish 555Slocan St, Vancouver, BC on June 2 at 11am with entombment to follow at Gardens of Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery, 15694 32nd Ave. Surrey, BC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Secondo’s memory. Secondo will be deeply missed by family and friends, but forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
