Stacie Alexine Cameron

November 10, 1976 — February 28, 2026

Stacie Alexine Cameron, aged 49, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 10, 1976, Stacie grew up in Vancouver where she built deep roots, lasting friendships, and a legacy of kindness that will continue to ripple through the lives of those she touched.

Stacie’s life was one of warmth, laughter, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her bright spirit, her big smile, the way she treated others, and the joy she found in simple, beautiful moments. Whether she was laughing with family and friends, encouraging colleagues, or enjoying the natural beauty of the West Coast, Stacie moved through life with a loving heart, a beautiful soul, and a grace that made people feel seen, appreciated, and cared for.

For over 30 years, Stacie worked at her local Starbucks where she quietly stitched together her community and created a space where everyone felt welcomed, including her co-workers, the wonderful people at ICBC, and the courageous officers at the Vancouver Police Department. Her family is especially grateful to members of the VPD for holding Stacie in such high regard, and for discreetly watching out for her while she was at work each day.

Stacie is survived by her husband, Iain Cameron, who loved and adored his little warrior more than words can express. Over the last 22 years, their devotion to each other was daily, deliberate, and dependable – it was also proudly on display as they wandered the streets of Vancouver hand-in-hand. Together, with their cats Dennis, Sammie and Greg, they had their perfect little family.

Stacie will be deeply missed by her parents, Pedro and Linda Liong, her three brothers Tim, Shaun [Karen], and Rodney [Paul], as well as her extended family of aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Iain’s mother, Betty Jane Cameron, and his three siblings.

Beyond her family, Stacie leaves behind many close friends who loved, admired and respected this beautiful, thoughtful and generous soul. Her absence in their lives will be profound.

Her family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to everyone at the BC Cancer Centre, Vancouver General Hospital, and the Raven Song Community Health Centre who were truly invested in Stacie’s care, well-being, and dignity over the last several months. In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to donate to one of these organizations in her name.

Please join us in celebrating Stacie’s life on March 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Kearney Funeral Services, which is located at 450 West 2nd Avenue in Vancouver. We invite you to gather together, share stories, and honour the kindness, love, and light that Stacie brought into this world – a light that was extinguished far too soon.
