Sunny Sun Yee Fung

Sunny Fung passed away into the presence of the Lord on September, 8th, 2026 in

Surrey, BC, at the age of 74. He is survived by his loving wife, Helena and her daughter Amy Lam. Helena’s sisters Melissa and family, Ellen Scoular, Rowena and her family, and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sunny was predeceased by his father and survived by his mother and four siblings.

Born in Hong Kong, on September, 10th 1951. He spent many years as an investment advisor.

Sunny broadened his education at BCIT, Vancouver B.C., enrolling in a two-year course for building Technology, and graduated in 1975

Sunny was in union with Jesus Christ and obtained a Bachelor degree in 1987, at Briercrest Bible College in Caronport, Saskatchewan, Pastoral studies. The spreading of the gospel, outreach to Nanaimo, B.C in making known the claims of Christ. He loved to study the Bible and shared not only what he had learned, but also the gospel in song with his guitar

Sunny will be remembered for the friendships forged throughout his life.

He was generous in spirit and joyful in heart. We shall not only miss his laughter, but also his presence. 
Sunny will be missed by all who knew him.
