Susan Palmer

April 1, 1949 — January 26, 2026

With love and sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Susan Palmer on January 26, 2026, in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

Susan was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and immigrated to Canada in her twenties. She brought with her the vitality of youth, a growing Christian faith, and a cherished Kiwi accent that never left her. As the last surviving member of her family of four, she was a quiet witness to a life marked by love, perseverance, and faith—and to what mattered most to her: being known as a disciple of Jesus Christ, a reality clearly seen by those who knew her.

She was a thoughtful, caring, and considerate wife, mother, and grandmother—a true creature of habit who found comfort in the familiar and joy in caring for those she loved.  Susan made Christmas especially meaningful for her family, creating traditions and treasured memories.

Susan was a woman of strong Christian faith who knew and studied the Word of God. Her faith was not loud, but deep and steady, shaping how she lived and how she loved.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alex, in August of 2025. They were separated by death for only five months. Susan is survived by her children, Matthew and Lisa; her grandchildren Megan, Brett, and Gabriel Reeves, and Benjamin, Grace, and Adam Palmer; and by many family members and friends who will remember her with gratitude and affection.

We take comfort in the hope that Susan is now at rest and joyfully reunited with her husband, in the presence of her Lord.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:21
